America's New Football Team

From Tragedy to Triumph
The city of New Orleans got an early start to Mardi gras Sunday night when their hometown Saints defeated Peyton Manning’s Indianapolis Colts to win Super Bowl XLIV. Denying Manning his 2nd Lombardi Trophy, the Saints completed a remarkable turnaround from a franchise notorious of failure. Who would have thought a city that was devastated by Hurricane Katrina would be home to the NFL Champions only 5 years later. No city deserved a title more than the Big Easy. Other than the Indy fan base, the rest of the country was behind the Saints and more importantly the city of New Orleans. A lasting image from the night is definitely a teary eyed Drew Brees holding his son amongst the confetti. The script seems too good to be true. The chaos that ensued on Bourbon Street following the game put Mardi gras to shame. This Super will definitely be remembered for time to come.

Most interesting commercial

Suprises: Some really good denfensive plays by the Colts and ran the ball well, Which usually leads to a good time of possession as well as victories!!Tonight was not the case, the problem was they only ran the ball 19 times. I also though Freeny would have been completely ineffective. He proved everyone wrong by recording a sack. They defintely missed his play later in the game and where was Reggie Wayne the whole game? 5 catches 46yds is weak.

Biggest turning point: Onside kick to start a half? First time ever onside kick in superbowl not in the fourth quarter. A surprise onside kick sparked the Saints' second-half comeback. Their 25th-ranked defense made several key stops, and Tracy Porter's 74 yard interception return on a pass from Manning clinched it.

Overall:

  • Tracy Porter haircut from superbowl
  • Future of advertising!! Nike!! Who knows whats next?
